CIUDAD DE JEREZ 2019: “150 ANIVERSARIO DE DON ANTONIO CHACÓN”

7 al 9 de noviembre 2019 / Museo Arqueológico de Jerez

 

Tras estudiar a fondo las figuras de Juan Mojama, Isabelita de Jerez, La Serrana, La Pompi, Luisa Requejo y Javier Molina en las cuatro últimas convocatorias, no podían dejar pasar en blanco, en 2019, el 150 aniversario del considerado “Papa del Flamenco”, Don Antonio Chacón.

Con referencia a la figura de Don Antonio Chacón (Jerez, 1869 – Madrid, 1929), hablamos de una “piedra angular” en la construcción del flamenco moderno en varias facetas. Su figura se perfila como la de un válido transmisor y puente de figuras del XIX así como la del gran recreador de un repertorio extensísimo. Todo en un mismo y decisivo intérprete.
